The SVdP Food Bank

We need your support

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank in southwest Miami-Dade County was established with an all-volunteer staff on the campus of Mother of Christ Church 20 years ago, to serve those in need in the neighborhood around the Church.

Over the years our food bank had expanded its service area to include the entire West and Southwest Miami-Dade County community.  By the end of 2018 almost 2,000 needy families were being helped with food distributions every other Saturday.

The Food Bank is located at: 14205 SW 142 Ave., Miami FL 33186. In January 2021 it will operate on the 9th and the 23rd, on Feb 2021 it will operate on the 13th and 27th, on March 2021 it will operate on the 13th and the 27th.

Registrations are in person at the Food Bank. Please come by Wed and Thursdays from 3pm until 7pm during distribution weeks. No one will be left behind. Once registered, you qualify for food distribution.

The SVdP Food Bank is helping our community.

Thanks for showing your support and care!!

helping

With the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the food bank is now serving 1,000 to 1,200 families during the regular by-weekly distributions.

voluntary work

The St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank is one of the largest continuous operations in Miami and is extremely critical in serving the elderly, the poor and the helpless in our community. SVdP volunteers directly provide food to those in need regardless or their credo, race, and particular situation.

why SVdP

Please help us make a difference and create awareness when providing assistance to all of our neighbors in need. More than 20% of the people in Miami-Dade live below the poverty line. This is almost 3M people and way above the national average of 14%. Let’s spark the light of caring in all our South Florida residents and your family members.

HELP US HELP THE ONES IN NEED

The St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank will distribute over $7,500,000 of food this year. The increased demand for our food distributions accelerated by the pandemic has further stressed our already fragile financial situation.

Have you ever considered helping your community ?

The food bank needs to raise at least $275,000 to allow us to continue to operate and reach our goals through the end of 2021. Are you ready to help? Are you ready to donate? Please click here to provide a helping hand to our food bank.
